I need to be able to connect to a number of SQL instances using my domain account, but I also need to schedule this such that the SSIS package is scheduled using SQL agent, my problem is that the SQL agent account doesnt have access to all the SQL instances
but my account actually does, I know I can use windows scheduler to do this, but it means that my password will be entered into the batch file, and I then have to change this all the time. I was wondering if there is an easier way to get around this problem.
Better asked in the SSIS forum! My SSIS is a bit rusty (which is bad because I’m about to start a big SSIS project!), but I think there are several solutions. First, you can get the SQL agent the proper access, of course. Second, I think there may be a “connect as” option somewhere
