ReportDescription=Stopped working

Oh my god.. i solved my own problem and couldnt believe how easy/weird the cause was..My WPF app  had an icon for the main window of type

Thank you for following up with the answer. This same issue has caused me several hours of research. The only¬†error ¬†details I could find were in the¬†event ¬†viewer (WPF Windows client):Event Type:¬†ErrorEvent Source:¬†.NET Runtime 2.0 Error ReportingEvent Category:¬†NoneEvent ID:¬†5000Date:¬†¬†3/18/2010Time:¬†¬†11:28:53 AMUser:¬†¬†N/AComputer:¬†VIRTUALXP-38248Description:EventType clr20r3, P1 , P2 1.0.0.0, P3 4ba254b8, P4 presentationcore, P5 3.0.0.0, P6 488f140b, P7 4e2b, P8 6, P9 system.io.fileformatexception, P10 NIL.This information¬†was quite misleading, especially considering that it worked correctly with the .ICO file on my development box (Windows 7). There were no¬†problems ¬†until we tried to¬†deploy ¬†to a Windows XP machine.Your answer is spot on! I changed the main form’s Icon property from a .ICO file to a .PNG and that resolved the probelm immediately!

This is a wonderful tip.Resolved the issue I had with an application we are developing.When we ran the application on Vista or Windows 7, we ran into this issue.Thanks,
